Montenegro: Submission to the United Nations Human Rights Committee: 112th session, 7-31 October 2014

This submission highlights Amnesty International’s concerns with regard to the continuing impunity for crimes under international law committed between 1992 and 1999, in particular torture, enforced disappearances and the failure to respect the right to life. The organization is also concerned about effective reparation; the rights to freedom of opinion and expression; and the rights of the LGBTI community. The organization also expresses concerns about discrimination, including the risk of statelessness of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians displaced from Kosovo in 1999.
