This document summarizes Amnesty International’s concerns since October 1996. Such concerns include allegations of ill-treatment, including a death in custody, the continuing use of the death penalty, and alleged deliberate and arbitrary killings of civilians in the self-proclaimed Republic of Abkhazia.
