Amnesty International presents the following information to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in advance of its consideration of the 18th and 19th periodic reports of the United Kingdom. This briefing summarises Amnesty International’s concerns, with a focus on the UK’s policy with respect to the impact of UK corporations on the human rights of Indigenous Peoples in other countries. Amnesty International believes there are deficiencies in the UK government’s framework of laws and policies that regulate the human rights performance of UK companies abroad.
