On 15 June about 200 people were detained at a vigil in Istanbul, which was being held in protest at “disappearances”, and taken to the Security Branch of the Istanbul Policie Headquarters. All the detainees were released the same evening. This was the second mass detention within a week. The above, a lawyer and board member of the Istanbul Human Rights Association who had been detained on 8 June, has now been released.
