Spain: More rights, but the obstacles remain (Summary)

One year ago, Spain’s Law Against Gender-based Violence came into force. In the full report, for which this is the summary, Amnesty International assesses the progress of its implementation to monitor the effectiveness of the measures introduced. Within the first year, some of the measures provided for have been adopted. The full report also identifies at least 24 specific obstacles that women who are the victims of gender-based violence face in defending their rights.
