Spain: Briefing for the Committee on Enforced Disappearances: 5th session of the Committee (4-15 November 2013)

Amnesty International is submitting this briefing to the Committee on Enforced Disappearances in view of its forthcoming examination of Spain’s report on the measures it has taken to meet its obligations under the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance. The organization expresses concerns about the definition and criminalization of enforced disappearance, statute of limitations, proceedings for the expulsion, return, surrender or extradition of migrant persons, incommunicado detention and the right to truth and reparation.
