Romania: New allegations of ill-treatment of prisoners in Jilava penitentiary

Amnesty International has received a testimony from Amet Metin. a detainee in Jilava Penitentiary, concerning the beating of prisoners following a week-long peaceful protest by detainees. Many of the prisoners were denied adequate medical care after the beatings and the prsion failed to record many of the injuries in the medical register.
