In this submission, Amnesty International provides information as stipulated in the General Guidelines for the Preparation of Information under the Universal Periodic Review. Amnesty International raises concern about ratification of the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance and the extraterritorial applicability of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. The organization also has concerns about counter-terrorism measures, excessive use of force by police officers, and violations of the rights of asylum seekers, refugees and migrants without legal status.
