There are fears for the safety of Kalu Chaudhari and Hikmat Chaudhary after they filed an official complaint against Kanchanpur District police personnel, who had tortured them in late April. The lawyers for the two men have expressed concern that the police might retaliate against the men for taking legal action and may even pose a threat to their lives.
