Amnesty International is calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Kim Ha-ki, a 38-year-old novelist, who has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years' imprisonment under the National Security Law for making an unauthorized visit to North Korea and divulging state secrets. Amnesty International believes that his imprisonment is politically motivated and in violation of international standards.
