Amnesty International is concerned at recent reports of the severe deterioration of conditions in detention centres in North Korea. Some of these detention centres do not hold prisoners but are used to detain homeless people and internal economic migrants. There is concern that people held there are being given little or no food and are dying as a result of starvation and disease.
