Indonesia: Comments on the draft law on Human Rights Tribunals

In this report Amnesty International welcomes the commitment of the Republic of Indonesia to ensure that persons responsible for gross violations of human rights are brought to justice, as indicated by the draft law concerning Human Rights Tribunals. But Amnesty also raises concerns, and offers preliminary comments regarding definitions and procedure which could be of use in revising the current text to ensure that it is consistent with international law and standards.
