USA: Guantánamo: Any and all interrogation tapes must be preserved

This document considers the US government’s position regarding the videotaping of interrogation sessions. Amnesty International states that the destruction of these tapes, as the CIA confessed to doing to interrogation tapes of two detainees made in 2002 and destroyed in 2005, falls into a pattern of measures taken by the US government that block accountability for human rights violations authorized or carried out by US personnel during the “war on terror”.
