Sara López, Joaquín Aguilar and Guadalupe Borja have been held in prison since July 2009. They were arrested for leading a peaceful protest against high electricity tariffs in September 2008 in Campeche state, Mexico. Amnesty International believes that the charges against them are baseless and that all three are prisoners of conscience. It is calling for their immediate and unconditional release.
