In this open letter to the President of the Dominican Republic, Amnesty International conveys Amnesty International's deep concern with regard to the deteriorating human rights situation of Haitian migrant workers and Dominican nationals of Haitian descent in the Dominican Republic. Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent have become the victims of acts of mob violence which have taken the form of physical attacks and even lynchings. Amnesty International has received with concern reports of harassment against human rights defenders working on behalf of the rights of Haitians in the Dominican Republic.
