South Sudan: Special Session of the Human Rights Council on the deteriorating human rights situation in South Sudan

In this joint letter South Sudanese, African and international non-governmental organizations urge the convening of a Special Session of the Human Rights Council on the deteriorating human rights situation in South Sudan. A special session will allow the Council to be briefed on the gravity of the ongoing crisis, to address the urgent needs for protection of civilians, and to enhance the engagement of the Human Rights Council on the situation in the country.
