Medical letter-writing action: Professor Mohamed Said al-Gadal

The above-named, aged 55 years and Professor of History at the University of Khartoum, has been in detention for a year, without charge or trial. He is being held in a prison in Port Sudan, in the north east of the country. Dr al-Gadal is known to be a diabetic and was earlier reported not to be receiving insulin. It is not known whether he is now receiving insulin.
