Somalia: Fatal Insecurity: Attacks on aid workers and rights defenders in Somalia

An escalating wave of attacks on humanitarian workers, peace activists and human rights defenders has been sweeping Somalia. In this report Amnesty International calls for the arms embargo to be strengthened, for neighbouring countries to open their borders to Somalis seeking asylum, and for the international community to provide support to those forced to flee their country. The international community must exert pressure to demand genuine change – to protect civilians and ensure human rights.
