Amnesty International is seriously concerned for the safety of refugees Alphonso Faroy, Higgins Bernard Jr, Mensah Ainankra and Hortense Lotika, plus some 30 others who have been attacked by members of the security forces. The refugees are homeless and vulnerable to attack following the closure of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) transit centres in the capital Abidjan on 4 and 5 May 2004.
