The Human Rights Council must call for the protection of human rights defenders in Gambia: Amnesty International written statement to the 27th session of the UN Human Rights Council (8 to 26 September 2014)

Since its previous examination under the Universal periodic review in 2010, the human rights situation in Gambia has deteriorated. The organization urges particular attention to ensuring that human rights defenders do not face reprisals.
