The backlash: human rights at risk throughout the world

Amnesty International condemns unreservedly the attacks on the 11 September 2001. It expresses solidarity with the victims and calls in the strongest terms for those responsible to be brought to justice. It argues that the response to these crimes must be conducted in strict conformity with international human rights standards.
