UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE) Khalil Abdul Rahman Abdul Karim al-Janahi (m), aged 38

Khalil Abdul Rahman Abdul Karim al-Janahi was released this morning and is staying with his relatives in the UAE. He is said to be in good health.

Khalil Abdul Rahman Abdul Karim al-Janahi was deported from Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 24 November 2008. Upon arrival in the UAE he was immediately detained and was held by members of Amn al-Dawla(State Security), the main security agency. Khalil Abdul Rahman Abdul Karim al-Janahi was held inincommunicado detention at an unknown location. He washowever allowed to make a number of very brief phone calls to his wife.

No further action is requested from the UA network. Many thanks to all who sent appeals.
