Amnesty International has now learned that Cherry Mendoza, Cecilia Sanchez and Enrique Calima have been released.

They were arrested on 3 December 1990 and had been held in military custody in Bataan province. Both women had reported being sexually ill-treated.

No further action is required. Thank you to all those who sent appeals on their behalf.
