Diallo Fanta Dramé and Korotoumou Traoré were released without charge on 29 May 1994. They had been held incommunicado and without charge since 11 and 12 May. Amnesty International believed that they could be prisoners of conscience detained solely because of their involvement in a peaceful campaign seeking the release of students accused of participating in violent student demonstrations.

No further action by Urgent Action participants is required. Thank you to all those who appealed on their behalf.
