The impact of "anti-Terrorism" operations on human rights
23 March 2005
Summary
The attached report outlines various human rights violations by Kenyan law enforcement officials during “anti-terrorism” operations in Kenya. The report states Amnesty International recognises the duty of states under international human rights law to protect their populations from violent criminal acts. However, such measures should be implemented within a framework of protection for all human rights.
