EXCLUSIVE ARTICLES BY ACTIVISTS AND ACADEMICS
Several prominent thinkers published their views on The China Debate, a forum about the legacy the Beijing Olympics is leaving for human rights in China.
The writers include Chinese academic Jiao Guobiao, who says he was forced to leave his teaching position in Beijing University for being critical about the government’s media censorship; Dr Kerry Brown from London’s Chatham House, which is known for its rigorous independent research and analysis of international affairs; Dr Andrew J Nathan who is a professor at Columbia University and has done work for human rights organizations such as Human Rights In China and Human Rights Watch; and Bikram Jeet Batra, an Indian lawyer and researcher specializing in the death penalty.
