This report examines the continuing pattern of human rights violations in Yemen, particularly in respect to arbitrary arrests, torture, "disappearances", human rights violations against women, the death penalty and possible extrajudicial killing or use of excessive force. It compares the commitments made by the government in 1996 to the present situation in Yemen.
