Medical letter writing action: Libya: imprisonment without fair trial: medical students and health professionals in prison
This report lists 26 health professionals and medical students who are believed to imprisoned without trial in Libya. Most were arrested in 1989 but four have been in prison since 1984. Those named are: Dr 'Abdul-Naser al-Bashir Abu-Lseyen, Muhammad Faraj Qamra, 'Adel al-Sa'di, Salim Abu- Sa'da, Yusuf Embarak, 'Ali Abu al-Khayr, 'Adel al-Dughri, Faraj Bashir Qarji, Dr Anwar Sawani, Saber al-Sha'iri, Saleh Abu-Sha'ala, 'Abdullah Muhammad al-Zarmuh, 'Ali al-Tahir Abu-Ruwis, Juma Ashtiwi, Fathi Dabak, Mustafa al-Darqash, 'Abdullah al-Muntasir, Khaled al-Rayes, Rashid Abu- 'Ajila, Mustafa Arhayam, Muhammad Hassan Abu-Sadra, 'Abdul Salam al-Nakeb, Dr 'Ali Muhammad Bin-'Arus, Dr Muhammad Najib 'Ali al-Rajbani, Bashir Muhammad Hamza and Dr 'Umran 'Umar al-Turbi.
