Universal Jurisdiction: Belgian court has jurisdiction in Sharon case to investigate 1982 Sabra and Chatila killings

This document analyses the issue of universal jurisdiction, and makes specific reference to the jurisdiction, under international law, that a Belgian prosecutor possesses to investigate killings of at least 900 Palestinian civilian men, women and children in the Sabra and Chatila refugee camps in the suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon in September 1982.
