On 22 June 2012, the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights published her report on “Strengthening the United Nations human rights treaty body system”. In this document, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) make initial comments in response to the High Commissioner’s report. As the process continues, the NGOs anticipate expanding upon the points raised and contributing further proposals to ensure an effective human rights treaty system.
