In this document Amnesty International welcomes the public discussion on the prosecution of crimes committed during the 1991-1995 war in Croatia following the organization’s report "Behind a wall of silence". Amnesty International takes this opportunity to address some of the observations issued by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia on the report. The organization would also like to reiterate its overall conclusions that despite some progress in a number of areas, there remain serious shortcomings in the prosecution of war crimes in Croatia.
