UA 211/94 - Azerbaydzhan (self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic): fear of imminent execution: Yury Viktorovich Bilichenko
Yury Viktorovich Bilichenko, an airforce pilot from the Ukraine, was sentenced to death by a military tribunal in the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) on 23 May 1994. There is no right of appeal. He was captured in August 1992 after his plane was brought down by ethnic Armenian forces, and accused of being a mercenary in the Azerbaydzhani army.
