Belarus: Submission to the UN Universal Periodic Review: Eighth session of the UPR Working Group of the Human Rights Council, May 2010

Amnesty International raises concerns relating to judicial control over detention. The organization also describes concerns related to the death penalty, allegations of torture and ill-treatment, restrictions on freedom of expression, association and assembly and on freedom of religion.
