Nepal: Sanjiv Kumar Karna : [Global letter-writing marathon 2006]
In October 2003, Sanjiv Kumar Karna, a 24 year old student, and ten others were arrested by joint security force personnel. Six were released, but Sanjiv and Durgesh Kumar Labh, Pramod Narayan Mandal, Shailendra Yadav, and Jitendra Jha have not been heard from since. In July 2006 villagers alleged that five bodies had been buried nearby around the time of the 'disappearance'. There have been no exhumations at the alleged burial site. Amnesty International considers these to be critical for furthering the investigations.
