China: Further information: Chinese housing activists sentenced
On 10 April, housing rights activist and former lawyer Ni Yulan was given a two year and eight-month sentence for “picking quarrels and making trouble” and “fraud”. Her husband, Dong Jiqin, was sentenced for two years for “picking quarrels and making trouble”. Amnesty International continues to call for their immediate release.
