Colombia:Human rights defenders under increasing attack: Human rights defenders network update
This document is a follow-up to: "Colombia: No security for Human Rights Defender" (AMR 23/32/97) and updates the cases of human rights violations against human rights defenders detailed in that document, as well as reporting on new cases. It also highlights the strategy of the Colombian armed forces to attack the credibilty of human rights organizations by portraying human rights defenders as guerrilla collaborators and, as such, legitimate targets in the counterinsurgency war.
