Chile: Open Letter to President Piñera
In this open letter, Amnesty International urges President Piñera to ensure that Chile consolidates an institutional framework that ensures respect for the human rights of all its citizens, making it impossible to return to the situation of the past. Amnesty International recognises that progress has been made in recognising and protecting human rights in Chile since the country's return to democracy. However, there is unfinished business of the past as well as the need to address the discrimination and inequality existing between different sectors of Chilean society.
