Sudan: Further information on fear of torture / possible prisoner of conscience: Sadiq al-Mahdi
Sadiq al-Mahdi is still in detention. His arrest was part of a crackdown on opposition members throughout Sudan. Dozens of people are thought still to be in detention. AI is concerned that he is at risk of torture or ill-treatment during interrogation. AI fears that he may be a prisoner of conscience.
