Hundreds of people die at the hands of the Nigeria Police Force every year. Many are unlawfully killed in the streets, at roadblocks, in police detention, and before or during arrest. In this document, the summary of a larger report, Amnesty International calls for legislation to be amended; for proper provision of equipment and finance for the police force; for investigation of every death or serious injury in police custody and for fair reparation for victims and their families.
