Mauritania: Further information on incommunicado detention / fear of torture or ill-treatment
Mohamed Ould Semane, Mohamed Khouna Ould Brahim Salem and 37 others appeared in court for their preliminary hearing at the Nouakchott court on 26 and 27 May 2008. All 39 were believed to have been detained in relation to attacks which the authorities blame on terrorists.
