The trial of Koigi wa Wamwere and the others charged with him was adjourned on 14 December 1993. The police file is currently with the Attorney General and the case will go for mention on 12 January, when the opinion of the Attorney General will be heard and a new trial date set. Ephran Muchiri Muhoro, Jimmy James Waigwa and Samuel Mwangi Kariuki are currently in police custody and receiving treatment for injuries sustained in detention.
