Who works with us

U2 have supported Amnesty International throughout their career. Their worldwide 360º tour will have been seen by over seven million people in 30 countries by July 2011.  Our volunteers have been to every single show, inviting fans to join our Demand Dignity campaign against global poverty.

British band Bombay Bicycle Club won the Best New Band award at the 2010 NME awards. Their third album is due for release in late 2011. The band supports our campaign for freedom of expression.

Femi Kuti is a Nigerian musician. He supports our campaign to clean up oil spills in the Niger Delta.

“My father, Fela Kuti, was released from prison [in Nigeria] in 1986, after Amnesty International took him on as a prisoner of conscience. So I am one of the thousands of people whose life has been directly affected by Amnesty’s work.”

Clock Opera is a four-piece live and electronic act from London with a reputation for cerebral, original music. Clock Opera and their label, Moshi Moshi Records, are supporting Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary campaign.

This British electronica and dance act has sold over 15 million records worldwide. Their albums include Outrospective, Sunday 8pm and Reverence. The band supports our campaign for freedom of expression.

Bob is a singer, songwriter, author, occasional actor, entrepreneur and political activist.  He has supported Amnesty International for many years – his first benefit show performance was at our Secret Policeman’s Ball in 1981.
