Women in Mexico who face violence in the family are often left with little protection. Even if restraining orders are issued, there are often no dedicated police resources to enforce them.

Amnesty International’s recent work on violence in the home in Mexico has focussed on Sonora State in Mexico.

Write to the Governor of Sonora State to call on him to ensure effective protection is available for women.
