Israel and the Occupied Territories: Ibrahim Ya’qub Sulayman Sa’d – Administrative detention

Ibrahim Ya’qub Sulayman Sa’d, aged 29 from Bir Zeit on the West Bank, was arrested on 29 November 1990 and issued with a 12-month administrative detention order. The order was renewed on expiry. He has appealed twice against the original detention order, on 26 March 1991 and on 3 September 1991: the detention order was reduced by 18 and 13 days at the respective appeals. Amnesty International does not know the reasons for his arrest and detention. Ibrahim Ya’qub Sulayman Sa’d is currently held in the Ketziot detention centre and is due for release on 14 March 1992.
