Equatorial Guinea: extrajudicial killing / fear for safety: Aguado Ndong Nguema

AI has growing fears for the safety of opposition activists in Equatorial Guinea following the killing of Aguado Ndong Nguema on 29 September 1994. He was killed by a member of the security foces sent to Mosok to arrest people who had refused to give personal details to census officers. He had reportedly resisted arrest. Tension has been mounting in Equatorial Guinea in recent weeks since the authorities started compiling a population census.
