قالت منظمة العفو الدولية أنه ينبغي الإفراج فوراً ودون شروط عن كل مَن كان محتجزاً في إيران لا لشيء سوى لممارسته السلمية لجميع حقوق الإنسان الخاصة به، وذلك في أعقاب إصدار المرشد الأعلى، آية الله علي خامنئي، قرارات بالعفو عن 130 من السجناء السياسيين، بينهم سجناء رأي، محتجزين في سجن إيفين الواقع في طهران.
