In this briefing Amnesty International expresses its concerns about violations of the right to adequate housing, pursuant mainly to Article 11.1 of the Covenant, with a particular focus on forced evictions. The briefing also highlights issues around lack of implementation of policy and law, violations of indigenous peoples’ land, cultural and other rights, and violations against human rights defenders working on housing and land issues.
