Sudanese national Adel Hamad was taken at gunpoint from his home in Peshawar, Pakistan on 18 July 2002. He was taken to a Pakistani prison where he was held prior to his transfer to Bagram. He was held in Bagram before being transferred to Guant�namo where he has now been held for nearly four years without charge or trial. Amnesty International is calling for that detention facility to be closed and for the release of detainees held there or for them to be charged and tried in accordance with international standards.
