Gorki Águila was released on 29 August 2008 after a trial before a Municipal court in Havana. He was cleared of charges of “dangerousness” (peligrosidad), but found guilty of the lesser offence of civil disobedience. He was sentenced to pay a fine of 600 Cuban pesos (US$27).
