Ahead of the meeting of the Peace and Security Council (PSC) of the African Union to be held from 14 March 2008, Amnesty International is urging the PSC to seize the opportunity of the meeting to address urgent and critical human rights challenges arising from the post-election political and humanitarian crisis in Kenya. This briefing paper contains Amnesty International’s recommendations to the PSC to take urgent steps to address the human rights situation in Kenya as part of the PSC’s mandate regarding peace and security.
